Goodmorning everyone!

Ok, Ok, so I haven't posted on here yet. LOL We are here at my brothers in Everett, I know not the most exciting stop yet. I have to say that saying goodbye to the condo, again, was a little tough. I was out on the deck watching the people go by like my mom used to do and getting a little emotional and of course what song comes on the gazebo speaker? The chicken dance, mom's favorite. So we said our goodbyes to all our friends at The Gingerbread Factory , all our girls at Wells Fargo and drove that mountain pass one last time, for now. Thanks to all of you that helped during a few rough spots, we love you and will see you again soon. So for now Im signing off , but keep watching, this is going to be an adventure. :)

We're on the road!!!

All right! We are on the road! Well....sort of. Well....we made it to Everett. But hey, that's 98 miles. Only 5,130 more to go!

We are spending tonight and tomorrow night with Chris, Vanna, and Teresa. Tomorrow we take care of one last item that is crucial to the success of our cross-country trip...a new CD player, one that hopefully will not skip constantly.

We just finished watching a steamy episode of Dancing With The Stars...two words: Gilles Marini!

And now, everyone has gone off to bed, so I'm headed next.

Night,
E

The Day is Here

The day is here! We have packed and cleaned and finished all our last minute chores. And now...we leave in the morning. I can't believe it! Michael has been having anxiety attacks, but I think he's just excited.

We have news on the apartment front. Michael posted an ad on the Nantucket Website for an "apartment wanted". We've already received two calls and one lady even remembers him from when he lived there before. So, we have high hopes for that.

"Tentative" is right

Our departure date is still over a week away and already our "tentative" schedule is shot to hell. Michael and I put everything we're not taking into storage and now we're sitting here, looking at each other and thinking, "Hey! We can leave right now!" So, we're moving our schedule up and heading out next weekend.

Since we decided to detour through Los Angeles, we have been trying to get tickets to a live taping of one of our favorite shows. We're on the waiting list for American Idol, Dancing With The Stars, and Ellen. The only show we've actually been able to secure tickets to is The Price Is Right. But hey....that could be a whole lot of fun! If one of us gets picked, I hope it's Michael. He's good at guessing prices. I, however, am hopeless.

If you haven't seen the map at the bottom of the page detailing our trip across the country, please check it out.

Cheers,
E

20 Days 'til we start our trip cross-country!

Well, we're nearly all packed and ready to go! Only 3 weeks until Michael and I pile into our Ford Minivan with all the stuff we're taking and start our journey across the country. First stop: Seattle to spend a little time with Chris & Vanna & Theresa. They have been so supportive and so fun. I'll miss showing up on their doorstep to spend the night. We have many friends to say goodbye (for now) to in Seattle but I think we will be on our way again by April 3rd.

Hopefully Michael and I will be able to update this blog regularly as we visit friends and family on our journey to the next destination in our lives....Nantucket, Massachusetts. We're planning to do a little sight-seeing along the away (Michael has never seen the Grand Canyon for instance), and we'll post our travel plans on here. If you have any suggestions for things not to be missed, please let us know.

Cheers,
E
